Jardín is what people imagine when they picture a Colombian mountain town: brightly painted balconies, wooden chairs spilling into the plaza, coffee farms on every slope and a cathedral that dominates the square.
It is three hours each way, so we leave early. The day includes a working coffee farm, the old cable car over the valley, and long enough in the plaza to do nothing at all, which is the correct way to spend an afternoon there.
